Global Projects
In 2005, Steven founded Global Intiative to Advance Entrepreurship (GIVE), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to addressing the growing problem of urban poverty in the developing world. GIVE embraces social entrepreneurship to fulfill its mission of advancing entrepreneurship in struggling countries.
GIVE pursues its mission by forging complementary relationships between the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, forging alliances and joint ventures with organizations and businesses that have a stake in targeted communities, drawing our models, approaches and resources from the world of business to reduce urban poverty.
Steven is currently developing projects in the Philippines and Cambodia. Goals for GIVE programs include:
- Brief entrepreneurial training to low-income communities
- Rely on proven models to guide and promote initiatives
- Connect aspiring entrepreneurs with business resources
- Attract interested individuals and investors
- Create business partnerships around the world
Our overarching mission is to produce job creators, rather than job seekers, by initiating and supporting urban economic development, business skills training, small business creation and spearheading socially-oriented business venture projects that meet local needs and solve local challenges.
